Video Games for Seniors
Video Games Are Changing the Future of Nursing Home Activities
Nintendo Wii Video Games in a nursing home? Can you see it now?
Little Johnny comes to visit Grandpa in the nursing home for Thanksgiving, but before he leaves Grandpa has a little surprise for him. Grandpa has been brushing up on his Nintendo Wii tennis just a little. So he challenges Johnny to a little game.
Now Johnny has always bragged about his ability at video games and has had the most fun gloating of all his wins against Grandpa whenever he comes to visit.
So Johnny gladly takes him up on the challenge and, wouldn't you know it, Grandpa whoops the pants off him!
Hey Johnny, who's laughing now? All in good fun though. Johnny likes it that Grandpa has proven to be a worthy opponent at last. He might just have to practice before coming to visit at Christmas.

The Baby Boomers Are Here
The physically interactive Nintendo Wii, has become some seniors favourites. These games challenge and entertain for hours while providing mental sharpness, cognitive improvement, increased cardiovascular and blood circulation as well.
The sports games have given seniors with mobility options for exercise they thought they would never experience again, such as tennis and bowling. For those with low mobility, bowling and boxing two examples of sports they can still participate in as they simulate the real thing but require much less exertion.
They are proven winners for group activities as observers can cheer on their friends and even compete safely against them as well.
Could Wii parties become all the rage in elder care?
