Exercise for seniors is very beneficial to slow aging and aid in healing and strengthening against frailty. I managed to think of 24 more benefits of exercise for seniors!
Many exercises can be found for seniors that don't need that much help in performing them. However, there are also very many exercises for the elderly in care facilities.
Simple exercises for those in elderly care range from chair exercises, stretching exercises, breathing exercises, balance, and ball exercises. This is not an exhaustive list, of course.
For those with greater independent mobility and stability, they can try Yoga,aerobics, strength and dumbbell exercises, swimming and Pool Exercises, and can develop a daily exercise program.
Other additional considerations for exercise for the elderly are exercises for Arthritis, pain relief or pain management.
